Why I Take Creatine (and why you should too)

barreALLEY launched a strength based format in December. In this format, we use 5-10 lb weights (instead of our usual 1-3lb weights). With the addition of bA STRONG, I have been taking creatine every day to assist in building muscle mass. Since then, I have noticed a huge difference in the SHAPE and the DEFINITION in my muscles.

I take mine BEFORE a workout. I read that that’s the most optimal time, but there isn’t a bad time to take it. I just add one scoop into my pre workout. If I don’t workout, I don’t consume.

The fear of bulking up and gaining weight was a big hindrance for me.. but while researching I realized that creatine draws water into the muscles - it’s all intercellular so you won’t visibly notice it. I did notice I had more muscle definition (I just look more shredded- notable my belly below my belly button) and that side/hip butt thing on the sides. It took about 4-5 weeks for me to notice/feel the results.

One of my uphill battles is being able to teach a class from start to finish WHILE cueing throughout the entire class. I often have to stop filming half way through to catch my breath so I don’t sound like a dying monster on the mic, and I’ve noticed I don’t stop anymore!! I’m giving credit to the creatine!

My favorite brand to use is KION. AND I have a code with them to give you guys a discount if you want to try! Use code BARREALLEY. (their amino acids are great too for post-workout recovery)
